Twaishi katika dunia ya mfumo dume, na mfumo huo umeota mizizi zaidi katika bara letu la Afrika. Japo jitihada za kitaifa na kimataifa zimeanza kuzaa matunda na sasa twashuhudia taaluma na yandhifa mbalimbali zilizozoeleka kuwa 'za kiume' zikikaliwa na akinamama.
Mfano mmoja wa 'wanawake wanaweza' ni huyu mwanamama, Gladys Sonto Kudjoe, Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Shirika la Ushushushu la Afrika Kusini. Hii ni moja ya nyadhifa nyeti kabisa katika taifa lolote lile duniani, kwa sababu ushushushu ndio uti wa mgongo wa taifa (kuna wataokwambia uti wa mgongo wa taifa ni siasa au uchumi...think again!)

DIRECTOR-GENERAL: STATE SECURITY AGENCYCURRENT POSITION/SAmbassador Sonto Kudjoe currently serves as the Director-General of the State Security Agency. She was appointed into her position in August 2013.ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
1981 - 1987: BA and MA Degree in Law. Specialised in Criminal Law at the Kishinev State University, in the former Soviet Union.
1992 - 1994: Post-graduate Placement Training Programme on the Administration of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Hull, England.1997: Diploma in Project Management, Damelin, Pretoria.CAREER / POSITIONS / MEMBERSHIPS / OTHER ACTIVITIESPrior to her appointment to her current position, Ambassador Kudjoe was with the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), formerly know as the Department of Foreign Affairs. She has occupied several positions whilst at DIRCO.
Ambassador Kudjoe held the position of Deputy Director-General: Africa Multilateral. Her areas of focus whilst in this position dealt primarily with the development and implementation of policies relating to the African Union (AU), the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD), as well as peace and security issues on the African continent.
Prior to the above position, Ambassador Kudjoe was Deputy Director-General responsible for the Africa Bilateral branch, concentrating on strengthening relations between South Africa and countries on the continent.
From 2000 to 2002, Ambassador Kudjoe was appointed as the first Chief Director, Africa Multilateral. Her main responsibilities, amongst others, were the establishment of a new Chief Directorate: Africa Multilateral, the development and implementation of its business plan.
Between 2002 and 2006, she served as South Africa's Ambassador to Sweden. She has also served as the country's Ambassador to Egypt for the period 2006 to 2010.
Ambassador Kudjoe's professional experience also includes working at the former South African Secret Service (SASS) as a Manager responsible for Research, Analysis and Policy Advice on various issues related to Africa. She has also held the position of Deputy Executive Director at the National Institute for Public Interest Law and Research.
